High Silicon Ductile Iron / Solution Strengthened Ferritic Ductile Iron
Solution Strengthened Ferritic Ductile is a type of ductile iron produced by solution strengthening the ferrite with silicon.
It is mostly used in safety parts and in areas where elongation is important, to reduce the risk of embrittlement and to increase durability of the parts.
Grades of SSFDI at our foundries;
EN-GJS-450-18, 500-14, 600-10
Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI)
Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) casting refers to the process of producing ductile iron castings through a heat treatment called austempering. Austempering heat treatment provides the part with features such as better wear resistance, lower cost and better castability.
Grades of ADI at our foundries;
EN-GJS-800-10, 900-8, 1050-6, 1200-3, 1400-1
What is the Ductile Cast Iron?
Ductile iron, also known as spheroidal graphite cast iron, is a special type of casting in which the carbon within the cast iron is distributed in the form of graphite particles in a spherical structure. This structure increases the material’s strength and significantly improves its mechanical resistance to tensile, impact, and bending.
Why Choose Ductile Iron Castings?
Ductile iron castings has high tensile and impact strength and also vibration damping capacity is lower than gray cast iron. It also has many advantages including good ductility (elastic deformation capacity), high fatigue and wear resistance. Parts with complex geometries can be produced and machined.
